6-7 days, approximately 53 miles. Start North from Kennedy Meadows campground to Beck Meadow. Then skirt the South edge of Monachc Meadows westerly over to ]3roder Meadow. On to Smith Cow Camp on Fish Creek and up and over the ridge and down to Beach Meadows Guard Station. Downhill to Rattlesnake Creek then up to Bonita Meadow through Curtiss Meadow Guard Station crossing the head waters of Trout Creek, over Sherman Pass and through Round Mosquito, and Deadwood Meadow and Pine Flat leaving the Plateau into Kern River Gorge. Downhill passing Forest Service Corral, Camp Owens to Kern River Fish Hatchery -- trails end!

Requirements:

1. Meet and comply with all General Requirements.

2. Outing Leader or another 21 year old adult going on trip must have completed the Basic Backpack Awareness Course.

3 . Each participant, including adults, must complete a minimum of three (3) conditioning overnight backpacking trips, including one at or near the altitude of the proposed trip, within three months prior to departing on the trek.

4 . Outing Leader/Unit submit an itinerary showing hike plan, roster, Pack list and menu, to your Council's High Adventure Team for approval.
