This Award is suited for registered Scouting Units with intermediate backpacking experience desiring an extended wilderness trip, but not a week-long trip.

Requirements:

I .Comply with the GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.

2. Have completed a minimum of two weekend hikes prior to taking this trek.

3 . Complete a backpack trek requiring 12 scheduled hours of hiking, occupying at least three days and two nights with at least one of these nights being spent in the Minarets Wilderness Area.

4. At least one adult must have completed a Backpack Training course.
