The Tarabel Trail is a moderate training hike for beginning hikers. The trail leads to a hidden year round creek in a small oak valley called Indian Kitchen or the Grapevine. The trail follows the old Indian and Cowboy trail that lead to the Salton Sea. This is a minimum impact camping area and no open fires are allowed. If you pack it in you pack it out. Topo maps are Bucksnort Mountain and Hot Springs Mountain and the trailhead starts at Lost Valley Scout Reservation.
